What Is This Session About?
This workshop will explore the importance of developing effective assessment methods that engage students and reliably measure what they are learning. Participants will be able to develop and try out innovative authentic assessment tasks and rubrics. They will also examine innovative modalities of assessment and look at their impact on learning experiences. Different types of assessments can be administered depending on the assessment's purpose: formative, diagnostic and summative. These different types will be evaluated for their roles in measuring the quality of the learning performances and achievement of learning outcomes.

- Understand the different types of assessments
- Develop and try out innovative authentic assessment tasks and rubrics
