What Is This Session About?

In this 1-day intensive workshop, adult educators will dive into the innovative world of educational escape rooms, designed for adult learning. You will learn the essentials of creating educational escape rooms, including how to set clear learning objectives and integrate both digital and physical elements. The workshop will emphasise critical skills such as problem-solving and collaboration. Through interactive, escape room-inspired activities, you will gain practical experience and receive feedback to refine your approach. By the end of the course, you will have developed a fully functional escape room and acquired immediate, actionable skills to apply in your educational settings. This workshop is ideal for educators seeking to innovate their teaching strategies and deliver dynamic, effective learning experiences. 


What Does The Session Cover?

Participants will be able to:
 
  • Design Educational Escape Rooms aligned with Learning Goals.
  • Create Engaging Storylines and Themes
  • Develop and Integrate Effective Puzzles and Challenges
  • Utilise Appropriate Tools and Resources to create an Escape Room
  • Facilitate and Assess Escape Room Activities
 

^ Assessment: Formative Assessment(s) (Assignments/Presentations/Practical Performances)

 

^ Completion: Upon 100% attendance and meeting Assessment requirement, learners will receive a Certificate of Participation from IAL (& other partners where applicable)

About the Speaker

Eunice Lim (Ms)

Adult Educator | RE Training & Consultancy Pte Ltd

Eunice Lim is currently an Adjunct AE at IAL and runs her own learning consultancy company providing learning solutions to companies. Her key expertise is in learning and development with more than 14 years of experience in this sector. 


As an advocate for tech-enabled learning, she has influenced and mentored educators and several organisations across various industries to innovate and improve their learning and development capabilities. 


Eunice was one of the recipients for the SkillsFuture Fellowship award in 2021. Eunice is currently doing her PhD, holds a MA in Professional Education with NTU/NIE, MSc in Real Estate Investment and Finance from Herriot Watt University and BBA in Business Administration from RMIT University. She also holds WSQ SDAF, DACE and ACTA certificates.

She is a Google for Education Certified Innovator, Trainer as well as Certified DiSC Trainer. She is currently a Co-Chairperson for Special Interest Group - Learning Technology as part of Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) Adult Educator Network (AEN ) initiative.
