What Is This Session About?
This programme offers practical coaching techniques designed to transform behaviour and shape attitudes, leveraging insights from neuroscience. It addresses both the scientific and artistic aspects of learning for individuals, groups, and organisations, employing pedagogical and andragogical methods to influence thinking, feeling, and motivation for action.

What Does The Session Cover?
At the end of this session, participants will be able to take-away the following:
- Be introduced to the principles of MindPowered Coaching that facilitates learning that enhances performance
- Understand their commitment to coach as a way to enhance learning
- Gain a better understanding of the role of facilitation in coaching
- Ground their coaching perspective in knowledge of where coaching has come from
- Understand the core principles of the MINDPOWERED coaching model
- Explore how and why FACILITATIVE coaching is the best way to create positive change in others, based on an understanding of the latest findings in neuroscience that empowers the MIND
- Distinguish the six primary principles of FACILITATIVE coaching and be able to compare them to other interventions, such as advice giving, consultation, and training.
- Manage Conflicting objectives/agenda/expected outcomes during learning
- Achieve Personal Effectiveness that leads to Organizational Effectiveness

About the Speaker
Alvin Oh (Dr)
Managing Consultant | Wisdom International Group Pte Ltd | ICMCI Academic Fellow | ICAgile Practitioner
Alvin Oh specialises in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organisation Development and Talent Management. Dr Alvin Oh obtained his professor consulting credentials in UK and is a practice professor and management consultant with over 30 years in Human Capital & Leadership Development disciplines.
A former Head of L&D, OD and Talent Management at Linde Group, STATS chipPAC, Chartered Semicon, he was also the Deputy Director, overseeing talent management and training in NTU.
As an adjunct faculty at PaCE College@NTU, Dr Oh teaches the executive education program. He holds a Master’s Degree in Training and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education and specialises in training design, development and delivery for adult learning, andragogy and pedagogy. He also supervises research projects up to PhD level in HRM, HRD, Business and Organisational Leadership Development, and postgraduate thesis research methodology.
