What Is This Session About?

As organisations increasingly rely on collaboration to drive change, innovation and performance, leaders and facilitators must be able to guide conversations that move groups beyond discussion towards shared understanding and action. Yet managing participation, navigating differing perspectives and achieving meaningful outcomes remain common challenges.

This programme equips HR professionals, OD consultants, leaders, managers, learning facilitators and adult educators with a practical approach to leading productive group conversations using the Technology of Participation (ToP) Focused Conversation Method. Participants will learn how to structure discussions through a four-level process that helps groups explore facts, surface reactions, interpret meaning and determine actions.

Through demonstrations, guided practice, participant-led discussions, facilitator feedback and reflection, participants will apply the method to realistic workplace situations. By the end of the programme, participants will be able to facilitate focused, participatory conversations that strengthen communication, support collaborative problem-solving and help groups arrive at clear decisions and actionable outcomes.
